Oooohhhhhhh! Ok, I think I’ve got it now. But let me just make sure I understand you correctly, Jake Tapper. You’re saying it would be silly to suddenly ban pressure cookers, because (1) they’re everywhere, and (2) lots of regular, hard-working, innocent, everyday people use them all the time in perfectly legal, legitimate, benign ways without incident, all across the country? And you can’t ban an entire category of inanimate consumer products just because a few douche-bags misuse them for nefarious purposes? Oh, well that makes perfect sense.
Tiffany, I linked to your site via activeresponse.com. I have read 4-5 of your articles and my hat is off to you!!! Your insightful, well thought out and logical observations are truly first class all the way and that is an understatement!
Your thoughts on BLM really got me to do some introspective analysis. I’m a middle aged white man, pro 2 2nd Amendment, middle class, single father of two children (Daughter 20 attending college, Son 17 in high school), generally conservative, United States Army veteran and live in flyover country in my 3 bed-2bath home surrounded by miles of corn fields. That’s my story but the best title I have ever had or will ever receive is that of “Father”.
You got me to see a side of this country that I left behind in the 70’s on the inner city, east side of Pittsburgh. Perhaps I want to forget the poverty, the sometimes bullying police, the neighborhood riots, the gangs of black teens that used to beat me up, the white racist neighbors that used the “N” word as if they were referring to an animal. Reading your insight spurred me to remember that there is another side to life in the inner city. I’m not saying all police are bad, or all African Americans are bad, or the Dallas police had it coming, or rioting is a good way to get a point across, or shooting an unarmed black man is ok; it comes down to one’s perspective via life experience. I had forgotten that! Shame on me!
May I say THANK YOU to you for your great articles. You are a good person and have a God given blessing of writing fair, logical and thought provoking articles. Thank you Tiffany!
Wow! I am (almost) speechless! You have made my day. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I hope we’ll see you here again very soon! 😀
Oh… almost forgot: thank you for your service to this country! Hats off to YOU!
Gee, where have I heard that same logic used on another group of legal products that’s used in perfectly legal, legitimate, benign ways without incident, all across the country? If I could just remember… 😉
😉
Tiffany, do not confuse people by asking that logic and reason be consistent.
LOL! Sorry, my bad. What could I possibly have been thinking? 😉
