I miss you guys! 🙁
The fall semester has begun, the students have come a-knockin’, and the catastrophic emergencies that must be solved, right now, immediately (a/k/a lapses in student preparedness) have mounted. And these are also peak times for my brief-writing business (I can conservatively estimate that 92.8% of all lawyers need research done and briefs written between Labor Day and Halloween). Regrettably, this cosmic chaos has selfishly stolen me away from my blog for a spell. I even missed a priceless opportunity to finally get my feet wet in the rifle world, which I was really anxious to do! But when one of my readers actually emailed me to make sure I wasn’t in a ditch, first I just felt all warm and fuzzy inside, and second I figured I better check in. So here I am!
Fret not, fearless self-defenders! Our delightful convos shall recommence post-haste. Things are finally calming down in my actually-just-four-but-seems-like-fifty classes, so I should be back on the air lickety split. Stay tuned! Hope all is well and each is safe.

We’re still here….waiting patiently….grumbling. 😉
The bad thing about being retired is one hobby keeps getting in a scheduling conflict with other hobbies. I know, sucks to be me.
Reminds me of the old saying, “Business would be great if it weren’t for the customers and the co-workers.” I hate it – hate it! – when business gets in the way of what I want to do! 🙂
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
I’m so glad that when I wore my lawyer hat, I could use canned briefs for 98% of what I did. If it weren’t for the occasional law student in court opposing me who felt the need to craft some unique and unusual argument that I had to swat down with original work on my part, I wouldn’t know how to write one on my own.
I’m counting on those pesky unusual arguments to keep me in business. 🙂
