A friend of mine (who shall remain nameless) got an email the other day from a well-trained fellow CCW permit holder and firearms instructor. Dude’s email address was something like [email protected]…
Can’t wait to see what the jury thinks of that email address if (Heaven forbid) dude ever has to justify a defensive shooting.
This goes right along with ‘Protected by (your gun here)’ bumper stickers on your car. Any lawyer worth his bribe fee will show the jury how you have been just chomping at the bit to shoot somebody, or anybody. Fly under the radar, but fully armed.
Bribe fee — ha ha ha!!!

This is a nice PROTIP.
Thanks, GSP!
I ran into something similar at work. Saw one of the new guys changing in the locker room, he was wearing a Punisher T-shirt under his uniform shirt and vest. I told him to lose it. It took a few minutes for me to explain just how bad an idea something as innocuous as being a comic book fan can be after a shooting incident.
The lessons learned from Erick Gelhaus’ officer involved shooting should be very plain to anyone paying attention.
Absolutely!!! Thrilled to have you aboard, Chuck. -tgj 🙂
If anyone is interested in the OIS case Chuck referenced, here’s the Wikipedia article to get you started. I’ve added a new post with more info on this case, including a copy of the civil complaint. Check it out. And thanks for the inspiration, Chuck!
I’ll offer the same advise here I’ve extended to LEO I either trained or supervised. Be the gray man no one notices and unless life’s are in immediate jeopardy mind your own business. Call it in when safe to do so and be an outstanding witness. If you go around waving a red flag some bulls going to take a notion to charge you. As in all things recommendations and suggestions are much akin to opinions so find by all means determine your own.
And the jury gets to comtemplate it even if he changes it.
You know it’s going to come up…
